Jon Keener
Apr 10, 2018Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in East Moline.Born May 10, 1965, in Burlington, he was the son of Jack Keener and Esther Nicholson.He worked for Green Valley Roofing.He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Muscatine. He was very active in the church. He considered everyone he knew to be a member of his family. Jon loved humor, and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, biking, camping and being on the river. He was a football fan; his favorite team was the Patriots. He enjoyed movies, dinners and playing video games. He also liked to travel, working, and helping others.Survivors include his parents; three sons, Zach Keener of Burlington, Ezekial Keener of Burlington, and Hugh (Keener) Thomas of Davenport; two daughters, Gracie Keener and Abigail Keener both of LeClaire; four brothers; three sisters; three step-sisters; three foster sisters; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and all of his many brothers and sisters of faith.He was preceded in death by his step-mother and one step-sister.Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Bethany Lutheran Church.The funeral service for Mr. Keener will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 2515 Madison Ave. Burlington, IA 52601, with the Rev. Lawrence L.
